Millsaps hosts lecture on food

An executive chef and a food museum founder will discuss "We are what we eat: How food shapes our culture" at 7 tonight in the Ford Academic Complex Recital Hall at Millsaps College.

The presentation is part of Millsaps Arts & Lecture Series. Those attending should bring restaurant menus new or old that they would like to donate to the Southern Food and Beverage Museum in New Orleans.

The speakers are Liz Williams, founder of the museum, and Dan Blumenthal, executive chef and co-owner of Bravo! Italian Restaurant and Bar, Broadstreet Baking Company & Cafe and Sal & Mookie's New York Pizza & Ice Cream Joint.

Tickets are $10 each and $5 for students. Admission is free for Millsaps students. For details, call (601) 974-1043.
