This Weekend: A New Exhibit and Mint Juleps

This Friday we will hold an opening party for our newest exhibit: Acadian to Cajun, which explores the history of Cajun cuisine and its place in Southern cuisine today.

The Mint Julep Talk and Tasting has been rescheduled for May 22, 2010.  Order tickets now!

SoFAB Kids Activities

The next Kid's Culinary Camp will be held Saturday, May 15. Don't forget, you can always arrange to have birthday celebrations and parties at SoFAB. We always have a lot of fun, and the kids learn a little about cooking! Go here for more information.

New Online Exhibit: Tremé's Cooking

We've got a new exhibit online detailing the culinary history of the neighborhood of Tremé. We've got recipes, nutritional information, and interviews from Tremé residents. Enjoy!

Big Read NOLA 2009!

This year all of New Orleans will be reading Zora Neale Hurston's Their Eyes Were Watching God. There will be no more book discussions this year, but lesson plans for the book will soon be up on the website.
